Combining Artists' Styles -Lesson Plan

Core Commitments

As an artist myself, I am constantly evolving and learning, and I would want to instill the confidence in students to ask questions and be daring with their work - while being open-minded towards their peers. I want to make sure that they know that:
  1. We're All Artists
  2. We're All Learning
  3. Don't Be Afraid To Ask For Help
  4. Be Open To Share and Receive New Ideas
  5. Be Patient
  6. Stay On Task
  7. But Most Importantly: Have Fun!

Case Study: Students With Special Needs

  • For students with special needs, the Combining Artists' Style Lesson and the lessons provided within the Visual Story Telling Unit Plan can be modified and accommodating to students with special needs.
  • Using the Combining Artists' Style Lesson as an example:
    • The special needs students would still have the opportunity to explore various different mediums and creating multimedia work
    • However, the lesson would be modified so that the students would be drawing/painting/etc. an animal or subject matter that they're already familiar with.
